This morning I went for a walk in
Capilano Canyon Regional Park. The sun was shining, I had cabin fever, and I was desperate to stretch my legs after a week in front of the computer. It was a beautiful morning, perfect for a walk on the North Shore. It hasn't snowed in the mountains for awhile, so there wasn't a lot of snow on The Lions. But they were still pretty as a backdrop against Capilano Lake.
Capilano Lake backdropped by The LionsThe lake is a lot more full than it was last time I was here, back in February. It seemed to be at normal levels, and there was a lot of water going down the spillway.

I spent an hour walking along the trails on the west side of the river. There was a little bit or morning mist, and I got some good shots of the sun shining through the trees and the mist. Very cool.

Before going back up to the car, I stopped at the viewpoint for the dam. The mist from the roaring water made a rainbow!
View of the spillway and rainbowCrossing back over the dam to the parking lot, I got a good view of the
Grouse Mountain Skyride going up and down the mountain. I still haven't done that. One more thing I'd like to do before leaving Vancouver.
